Originally, we all had brown eyes until you get genetic inherited

blue eyes may contain brown spots

Blue eyes are considered as failure genetic but not negative mutation and nether positive mutation, it's variation of color which is rare like albino.

While some cats and dogs have blue eyes, this is usually due to another mutation that is associated with deafness.

    There a question for you:

Can two brown-eyed parents can have a blue-eyed child?

it's not a failure of genetics because it has persisted for 10,000 years A failure of genetics simply does not persist for 10,000 years and hundreds of generations furthmore blue eyes are more common than green eyes, are the second most common eye color after brown with 8% of the world's population having blue eyes, sorry but that is not a genetic failure, that is a genetic trait and every single gene in yours and every one of ours bodys no matter what color eyes you have are a "mutation" that has been successful if you are actually living and breathing. that is literally what evolution is, mutations of genes and sometimes those mutations give us an advantage in our environment and so they persist if you breed and pass them on otherwise you die and don't breed and a genetic mutation that is in 8% of the world's population, has persisted for 10,000 years and hundred and hundreds of generations is not a failure. plus I have blue eyes and have perfect vision and you have brown eyes and wear glasses.
