Seriously, I tried, it was all boys, all 15 and 16 years old, I was casual relief so I just wrote it up for their regular teacher that I tried but after 15 mins of innapropiate comments and unrully behaviour I gave up. See that was all I could pretty much do, being a casual relief I couldn't really follow up discipline that much myself, just keep tabs on what had gone on. David was amused and just said that he thought that class might have been an interesting challenge for me.

04-04-2015i did keep them in the classroom and nobody died or got seriously injured and once in a while as a casual you get a class where that is literally the best you could hope for.

04-04-2015I remember thinking "oh well, this is $40 an hour to sit here while little tree berries bounce off my head"

04-04-2015No. I was very bored and doing a good job of putting up with them comsidering their behavior I thought. I mean sometimes there's not much you can do, I could have called for a permanent teacher to come help me but it didn't seem worth it for a single lesson that I could just write up as a write off, take a few names alomg with a report on what they did and send it to their level co-ordinator. Like the whole class would have gotten a talking to by their regular teacher and possibly level co-ordinator their next class. I didn't get upset or angry but I couldn't continue the actual content of the lesson with the way they were carrying on. I did make them throw their hot chillies in the bins after they were trying to rub them in each other's eyes but I was like "I'm not going to continue with you behaving like this" and just sat down and made them sit there.... i didn't worry that much about the tree berries other than say "do you think it's ok to sit here throwing tree berries around the room?" And to just let them know that I did have to report to SIMS what happened that class and that I was reporting some of the comments some of them had said to me, and I can't really remember exactly what the comment were but I remember they weere bad enough and went on long enough for me to not continue (SIMS was just the computer system for logging behaviour of either poorly or really well behaved students, it's not like when I was at school you could get away with everything but now the students every move is reported on a computer system, if they attended and any good or bad behaviour you need to refer)
I mean that was a particulary unsuccessfull class, most classes were usually not anywhere near as bad as that. But it just seemed pointless to try and even continue and it had just been... Well my whole "That is innapropiate, I'm the teacher, you're the student and it's just gross I'm 30 something" speech I usually gave the class if I had an issue with a boy being innapropiate @ me had had no affect on the few boys that were doing it. I had to just stop the lesson and take notes on what they were doing seemed like the best thing I could do after all my attempts at curbing that had failed. I think if it had been a mixed class as girls too it would not have happened and I think David gave me that class instead of a male casual so that he'd have something to laugh about at lunchtime when I went running to him about the disaster of a lesson I had.
no I did not get wet, I haven't been sexually interested in 15 year old boys simce I was 15 myself.

04-04-2015There was probably one or two boys during my time in teaching that I thought "Shit if he was 10 years older he'd be in so much trouble from me"
And one like 17 year old who always asked me for my phone number every lesson I had with him I told him "You can look me up in 10 years"

lisa, you seem confused - you seem to get confused very easily. this whole weekend was a volunteer thing the place where i work did and it was in concert with a church's good friday service. what i usually do is deal with a ministry of education database, support and admin the IT infrastructure for the NGO i work for, teach a computer class and do intake and referrals and assessments for students as well as community outreach for the education sector at my organization. this includes liaising with with local and provincial and federal agencies, attdending workshops and dealing with universities and colleges and adult learning. I've also been involved in and helped author some studies in adult learning. We do a great deal of charity work like what we did on good friday. the place i work at has a food bank and deals with alot of homeless people as well. i hope that clears up any misunderstandings or miscomprehensions/incomprehension.
also you mentioned something to the affect of reading comprehension doesn't involve making up what you think something means, but actually absorbing the writers actual intent
this is your exact problem, you always leap to conclusions about things and don't absorb the writers actual intent in context with what else has gone on, i've seen you do that many many timesLast edited by m0nde; 04-04-2015 at 03:09 PM.

04-04-2015Let's review
What does this sentence mean? does it mean this is a job you get paid for? yes that is actually what this sentence means.
So do you get paid for it or not sid? it's pretty simple, can you even answer that question?
i mean I've done heaps of volunteer work but that's got nothing to do with anything. Do you or do you not "earn a living" doing that? do you get paid for it? Is it just your job you get paid for?
Yes or no.Last edited by Lisa Battery; 04-04-2015 at 07:27 PM.

04-04-2015"
1"Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. 2"So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 3"But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,…"
So not only that but you are also trying to claim kudos for a job you actually get paid for

04-04-2015m0nde goes eats a free feed put on for the homeless and claims to be mother teresa
brags about spending free time trying to troll and trigger women who have been raped on the internet
Not to mention he is a habitual liar
he has really predatory behaviour too, takes pictures of women on public transport who are clearly uncomfortable with a fat creep basically sitting on top of them breathing heavily on them and taking their picture
Get paid for a job he does not actually donate any free time and skill to, does it for money, tries to claim that that is somehow charity in his part
But he goes to church, which he defines as volunteering and then goes eats food donated for homeless people.

04-04-2015i don't know how fucking dumb you can be teknorat
The "reading comprehension" in question was this
And basically what I said was well that's not really charity work on his part, he is being paid to do a job and I was right and you were wrong
Like everything you try to argue with me about, you've literally never been right once, I don't actually hold your intelligence in any high esteem teknorat, far from it, intelligence is not your strong point, in fact I'm struggling to think of anything, any character trait that is your strong point, not kindness, not wit, not humor, certainly not intelligence, thee's a slight novelty that you're a psychopath and that also is not really a character trait that I would hold in any esteem.
Please moron, I would wipe the fucking floor with you in an IQ test, don't make me laugh

04-04-2015I never have been impressed by your intelligence, not once. At best I've told you you aren't stupid and that's about as much as I can credit you with as far as intelligence goes.

Why are you so insecure about your intelligence Lisa?
