next time you get a bottle of wine thats too sweet put it in a pressure cooker with a copper line crimped over where the pressure rocker goes and heat it on low, run the line in a coil so that you can submerge around 6' of it in a sink full of water and ice cubes (a large kettle next to the pressure cooker will suffice if your sink is too far) and put the other end of the copper line down in a mason jar let the condensed alcohol collect until you have about 20 -25% of the total volume of wine you started with.
Congrats you just made your own brandy.

"i bought some bright pink moscato but it turned otu to just taste like gummy bear piss," if u want a decent 'grocery store' wine, try la crema pinot noir or educated guess cabernet, hell even sterling has some decent wines for under 15 bucks. feel like being fancy (i guess if youre poor lol) try beacon hill noir, about 30 $ a bottle

yellowtail, barefoot, cupcake, flip flop, sutter home, and beringer.
now for yellowtail the cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, and the shiraz cab mix is best they make
barefoot has a good moscato
cupcake has best chardonnay and pinot noir
flip flop cabernet sauvignon when you got nobody to impress its 5 bucks a bottle, the merlot is also good but the acid gives me heartburn
sutter home white merlot, 10 bucks at walmart for 1.5 liters is a good price, kroger wants 15 bucks for the same bottle.
beringer has a very good selection of white wines but their red wines taste woody or corky IMHO
