Well clearly she wasn't looking for sex in her relationship. Just because that's all you want doesn't mean other people can't want something else. You do know that some people do still wait for marriage, right? Or maybe she's asexual and wants companionship but not sex. Or maybe she just values sex as something incredibly important and wants to wait until she's with someone really special to her.
