maya keeps crashing everytime i hit the view port render button and honestly i want to kill myself because the patch is taking 2

can anybody help me with maya autodesk 2016 crashes im trying to rebuild golden eye for the htc vive with a friend but i cant get this bullshit program to work jst gonna go back to blender
