yeah, whether or not stevey is on welfare or working, he has to report income to the irs. as i said in anothe thread, what will fuck him is not the department of social services, but the irs.

first he has to collect more than the minimum required amount for reporting income whatever that is, and second he has to build up a case that's actually worth pursuing, otherwise he'll skirt by through sheer negligence on their part, and what's further, he can still claim his hardships at the state level after filing federal. some states will actually pay you back your rent money provided you file federal correctly
