There isn't a ton of seeing the future. Generally if you can clearly see the present then the future is just what naturally follows. Some people do a better job of seeing the present than others and some of them do a better job identifying the likely outcome of the present than others. Those are the wise ones, meanwhile the ones who believe they can see the future but don't know the present are the fools (kooks). Like stopped clocks sometimes they're right and this makes them more foolish confident at every opportunity.
Black and white of it, a lot of folks here will tend to acknowledge right away that much of the occult 'knowledge' can't be taken literally from books. They wrote it to be obscured and sometimes to only have meaning to themselves. So basically we're all blindfolded humans trying to identify the elephant with one hand tied behind our back. Again some are more successful than others an again they are the wise.
Solomons magic is based upon a book said to be authored by King Solomon (yes, the biblical one). He was said to be a wise magician in touch with God and able to utilize knowledge to call spirits and divine to his will. That's the short and somewhat incorrect version. Basically Solomons Key is the book of magic said to be copied through time from his works, it's inherently judeo-christian in nature. Lots of God, and divine and hebrew.
Some of this like I said is probably wrong but none of it intentionally so. Particularly around the solomon magic I'm mostly uninformed. From what you learn from all the replies ask more questions, listening is the root of learning. Please use the search feature first though.
