For me personally it is the exploration and study of the forces that drive this world and the self, through that knowledge we can influence those forces to manifest change.
Solomonic magick is based on the biblical and Islamic character of Solomon the Magus king, who through the permission and blessing of God gains power over demons (Djins) so that he can direct and command them to build his temple.
From these tales a school of magick arose where the magician also calls upon and invokes his version of God so that he can direct and command his demons to perform tasks.
