Happened to me while driving from Oregon to Florida. Somewhere in buttfuck CO started to hear a knock, bad times.

Limped my way to a gas station, check oil levels and they were at about zero. Filled it back up with a few quarts though and made it all the way back to Florida. Car still runs fine.
