yeah women weren’t allowed jobs (except during war, and war changed women’s roles significantly) and men were paid enough to keep a wife and children (men are still paid more but it’s changing). Contraception and women having a right to it (they needed a husband’s permission at first) also drastically changed women’s roles. Women have adapted but men’s roles are also changing, what it means to be a real man is changing. Some get it, some don’t.
