um, you went through all the scarborough neighborhoods that that bus takes you through, that's the shittiest part or toronto you can possibly visit.
try walking along the queen's quay or forest hill anywhere downtown. what's sad is that the rest of canada looks pretty much the same as scarborough. if you leave the big cities, the place is a wasteland, just like the US.
