    motherboard. yeah i need to check the BIOS. i didnt bother yet since installing it. i aint gotten a new BIOS in a long time and this one blew my mind. 3pins btw

    make sure it's the right plug, they're marked for cpu fan, case fan, etc. if you plugged a case fan into the cpu fan port it may be trying to cool the cpu by cranking up the wrong fan
