A prolonged trade deficit hurts the stock market, amount of investment in US infrastructure, and overall employment. Allowing poverty to fester under these conditions promotes unhealthy lifestyles like mass consumption of cheap unhealthy goods (made in china) and drug use like opioids (fentanyl made in china). It siphons wealth outside the US to nations that manipulate there currency (like they do in china). This is a example of not 'pro america' policy and is nowhere near what Sanders proposes to do with healthcare education reparations and whatever else he's tried to promise.
