lisa isn't really mean, she's very mentally ill and has a great deal of psychoses and neuroses, her world view is very rigid and narrow, she has a narrative and anything that goes against that is very, very difficult or impossible for her to accept

eg. she believes person-x is evil, person-x shows pictures of them doling out food at a soup kitchen, lisa will perform mental gymnastics to deny that this is true
