Ethylene glycol was the safe replacement, still is I believe, but now methanol is back because it was overstocked and cheap - but was then shipped in such high volume it's a god damn terrorist attack literally. THat's the best case scenario. The worst case scenario is a rape plot perpetrated by grandparents in the middle east.
