also the free version is nothing compared to the paid license for workstation, if you had a big business its capabilities are literally leading in virtualization its just a bit expensive

last time I used the free workstation software was when they first started calling it 'vmware player'. I've used the free server product within the last few months, I was underwhelmed.

paid version does have some pretty kickass features, but I can script most of them with kvm and libvirt and it doesn't cost me a dime.

well since its got tech support and its the most commonly used software for virtualization its a subject in my course i can sit the test later for a fraction of the price of learning it directly from VMware(its something like 5000 to learn it form them lmao)
