    also it looks to be a pretty predictable cycle, there's a spike every 100,000 years or so and our current levels fit right into the pattern

    right, it was periodic (T ~= 80,000 y) up until 150-200 years ago -- industrialization

    no, it spikes every 100,000 years what's happening now happened 3 times prior to industrialization
