If you have no respect for authority it means you do what you think is right regardless.

So I'm not going to electric shock you unless I personally want to, it being the right thing to do because you deserve it and it having the outcome that I want. If asked to electric shock you I'm much more liable to turn around and punch the man in the white coat telling me to do so than actually shock you just because an authority figure told me to. Be that at my own peril I wouldn't give a shit. Meanwhile 96% of you would carry out war crimes just because an "authority" figure told you to. I go head to head with any "authority" if I disagree with them. I will stand up to much bigger people than me and I don't actually give a shit what people think of me, I have my own thing going on and I've already decided what is the right way to do something and I damn well do it regardless, I do it regardless of feelings.
