The Beijing cocktail is a synthetic Central nervous system agent, at first it binds to the hemoglobin in our blood before finally settling in your synapses where it inhibits the neurotransmitters for norepiphephrine by binding to the re-uptake pumps in the synapses and blocking the neurological stimuli. The only way to counter-act this with a constant supply of synthetic or real adrenaline, but first an agent must be present in the system to cause then compound to un-bind from receptor sites so that the neurotransmitters may transfer vital information to the rest of the body. I.E. Like the pumping of ones heart
Also, The "beijing Cocktail" also refers to the compound administered to individuals who are sentenced to death in are executed via Lethal Injection in China.

okay, whew, lets not get ahead of ourselves here,
lets be honest, some kid in recent history thought "china white" sounded cool, and thought that since the original china white was a fentanyl analogue, that he could just tell all his friends that the fentanyl he stole out of someone's medicine cabinet was "china white", and everyone just went with it because they were all dumbasses too.
Anyone who knew better was too polite to say "you're a dumbass." when they called fentanyl china white, and the ball just kept on rolling

if we didn't have 30 different ways of saying/doing the same thing, we wouldn't have things as fine-tuned.
