ok things I've learnt from this thread:
-all you have to do to get replies is put "computer" in the title
-everyone but steven yelle is jealous of how rich I am and how much money I have to waste
-barry is a very helpful and smart person
-some people dont get that I need a new computer because this one wont stop bluescreening for no reason, if you can help me fix that then cool I wont need a new computer then since for all the shit people give me it runs everything perfectly it just bluescreens at random every day, but its been a year so...
how do I maintain my cpu and gpu? how do I even identify what they are? I should to clean my current ones to see if they havnt just gotten dusty or smoething
uh I d-dont think thats an option on this site
I will literally only turn it on when I want to play a game so it wont overheat and melt like whatever happened to my alienware that has been on for literally three years straight
also I was literally just going to PM this build to you to get your opinion but I thought why not let the ladz have some top banter about it in the open
exactly my point (well teknorats since I dont know how to use a computer)
lisa.............. lets play dayz together on our new computers
how do you know a computer is noisy?

my point is that 64 gb of ram, even if in the future you did need more ram, those sticks you have will be outdated
it's like having a computer from 1999 with 64gb of ram, you think that shit is gonna run anything out today? no, because "64gb" isn't the only deciding factor of what that ram is, just like my i7 920 from my last desktop isn't nearly as good as our new i7's even though the basic thing to call it is i7

The time when more than 8GB of RAM becomes useful and starts paying for itself is when you're running a number of resource-heavy applications simultaneously. Try running Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects side-by-side on a system with 8GB of RAM and then bump that up to 16GB and feel the difference!

16gb should be enough, any more than that is probably overkill. A lot of people would say 16gb is overkill, but ram is cheap enough might as well.

if you dont want to pay for 16GBs get eight, and if you need more, try 16

I do video editing with sony vegas pro. My memory in my i7 is no where near 16gb and it doesn't really seem to be used as much as I would think when I look at the usage indicator.

Video editing is a very complex process that will test every part of your system. However, much like gaming, it don't necessarily require enormous amounts of RAM.
