the one thing I'm glad Trump did is begin deporting, en masse, all illegal immigrants living in the US. of course the border wall is stupid and an unnecessary waste of money, but I'm glad Trump used the system already in place to actually she the these people.

correct, a large part of this would be immigration reform addressing the current undocumented people and the bureaucracy involved with immigrating, but the physical barrier is also an impediment to drug trafficking and sex/labor slaves who wouldn't enter through legal ports of entry.
