Was was building my new computer and forgot to make a windows 7 install disk. I just assumed that I could use another one I had, which was for windows 7 ultimate. I WAS WRONG.

So now I had use the ultimate product key to start up, and then now I'm making a regular install disk, so I'm going to have to wipe clean and reinstall all over again.

So I'm just going to continue using my premium. As a gamer and non-business person there is literally NO benefit to using ultimate I've found.

you shouldnt need to reinstall if you have an Ultimate product key, just use it and unlock the ultimate edition, the only differences between install media are 32 bit and 64 bit, otherwise you can install any version of Windows 7 from any install media

I just downloaded the home premium 64 iso from digital river and am currently making a bootable usb for it.
if that fricks up I'll do it your way.
