Economics 101: a healthy economy results with a country that has more exports than imports.. at least that's what my economics teacher told me.
What raw resource have we got to trade anymore? Foreign resources are cheaper. All we have is our technology (a false scarcity) and our big ass military. It's safe to say that the capitalistic thirst of the traditional American working man has all but dissipated. People these days want to wear brand name clothes, listen to music for its image, and sit and watch rich people on TV and feel special and unique and above everyone else.
Somedays I feel the need to move to canada and be a lumberjack or something

We are burdened by people fucking too much. According to evolutionary psychology, the rate at which we reproduce is ultimately dependent on our access to food; if food is scarce, reproduction rates drop.
But now, people don't care about making healthy informed decisions, they simply feel that to not reproduce would be missing out, and vow to themselves they'll figure out the rest (like feeding the baby) as they go along; but they never do.

The single best solution to every problem is simply this: investing in education. The nation's investment in education will return to us exponentially.. push to make college free for everyone, have a team of experts put a library of accurate information one would normally obtain in college free to everyone on the internet. The information will be there for everyone when they want it, and college will be there as a sort of ticket of authenticity to show employers.
Putting people into insurmountable debt is what is killing this country more than anything. Just find a way to use however much funding it takes to make college free to everyone, and highly flexible. Let people change their major whenever they want; in doing so people won't be hesitant to find their true calling in life, and this will directly benefit our economy, as people with jobs will be doing jobs because they are good at them, and not because they have to do them.
This is the American Dream I don't know why this country let it die; you know what I think it is, it's because those who inherited the corporations have no fucking clue what they're doing, and since they hold all the cards, they can clog up the system any way they choose. They absolutely refuse to let their profit margin drop in the slightest, and in doing so degrade the quality of life for everyone.
It is so simple. Cut the shit we don't need (like the monstrously high military budget) and just put some more fucking funding into education.
We have our priorities out of whack.. And if you think about it, investing in education will also help the cause of the military budget in that the nation will be more intelligent and therefore able to develop better more efficient weapons.
We don't need to be able to cover the surface of the Earth in mushroom clouds to stay on top; such insanity "if we die EVERYBODY MUST DIE"
Then we need to be friends with Iran. It will be difficult, but I'm sure if we smuggle some shit like McDonalds and Jet skiis and other American paraphernalia into their country maybe it'll get to them
we should propose a friendship tribute to Iran, like have some sort of cultural festival with them or something, I don't know..
Get all the world's leaders in a room together, give them all MDMA, and play journey don't stop believing or something on a loop for 4 hours
I was looking forward to iran kicking off world war 3 but unfortunately A Mad Dinnerjacket's successor seems like a cool and moderate guy who just wants everyone to get along (so assassinated by the cia within the year then)
all we know for certain about the CO2 level is that it currently exceeds the highest historical interglacial concentrations by about 33%
Today: 398ppm

Historically: 180-300ppm

It's an issue of education I think. If Hitler's solution was cutting everyone's balls off, that just shows his innate sadistic nature, and that he didn't actually care for the well-being of everyone (not that that even needs to be argued, really).
We are much more creative; there is something out there that everyone could probably agree upon, but can we stop enjoying hating each other long enough to just do it?
Doesn't that only chart back <100,000 years?
Also, do you think the readings could be wrong or swayed by agenda? Like, could our means of measuring CO2 levels historically be off, such that modern day CO2 levels seem to be exploding off the chart compared to the CO2 level increases of the past, when really its just because our measurements are off?
hitler only had one ball and he turned out great so thats not too bad an idea
What if there are ways of measuring that suggest the opposite, but because they're trying to make a political point, they picked the method of measurement which would support their hypothesis rather than using a different method of measurement?

I fear the only way I'm going to find the answers I'm looking for is by becoming a geologist and going through years of tedious bullshit just to be able to make the measurements myself. I also think that there's some backlash in the scientific community against anyone who sheds doubt on "climate change"; they don't speak up because they fear harsh criticism by their peers.
also, the biomass of marine flora is believed to have increased four-fold over the past 150 years. so if we cut CO2 emissions too quickly then the plants would begin rapidly suffocating, and the combined effect on the oceanic carbon cycle would result in a large enough shock to atmospheric carbon to create a runaway global cooling that would make The Day After Tomorrow look like Winnie the Pooh's Blustery Day, by comparison... we'd be back to "snowball earth" within a decade, and this time it would likely last forever
"after world war 3 and the nuclear holocaust, you could, like, go to a store and just take whatever man" and millions of other survivors wouldnt try to do the same thing?
Also I don't think a war against Iran is justified.. We're always poking them with a stick, like "hey iran, whatcha doin? woah that looks dangerous dont do that" and they're trying to be cool like "fuck off and leave us alone"
A WW3 against N Korea however, I'd want to fight in that, because N Korea's government is truly evil and crooked,
And Iran's military isn't fucking around. People think we'd just go in, blow up some huts like we did in Iraq and Afghan, and then sit their fiddling with our dicks waiting for us 'liberating' them to stabilize them.
The whole "stability" thing was bullshit; anyone have any idea how many Iraqi civilians we've killed since the start of the war? It's just un-fucking-real.. There's no way that sort of bloodshed was going to lead to stability, it just strengthened the grudge
but where was i, oh yeah Iran's military, it's not fucking around. It's a real military. As in, an air force and aircraft carriers, ballistic missiles, the whole 9.. Russia might step in and that would be a very very bad thing.. who knows how it might inspire other middle east nations? Would they end up pressing an attack on Israel? And Israel is insane in their own right, they outright admit "if you invade we'll just use nukes on you, we're that unreasonable"
The idea with nukes is supposed to be you don't ever want to use them, right? It's like taking your Queen out to the other side of the board on turn 2 in chess, it's just not the right thing to do it just escalated everything
Hmm well I don't know honestly, but purely from using logic, we could suspect that analyzing an ice core compared to our current atmosphere might be like apples and oranges, the environment of an ice core might be subject to variables we aren't even aware of yet.
And 400,000 years isn't that long really, I think our planet is resilient enough to just shake it off.
