also thats actually not true at all, greece and italy both removed their monarchs by (very close) plebiscites/military coups, austria-hungary and germany both deposed their monarchs in republican revolutions, france deposed charles x in 1830, louis-philippe in 1848 and then napoleon iii in 1870 (none of them died), the monarchs of romania, bulgaria, albania and yugoslavia were all overthrown in communist coups (and survived)
