there are no good comedies on the way either
some movies still have an ounce or so of worth in them, but television shows have been dead for at least 4 years as far as i'm concerned
I turned on the TV and watched Walker Texas Ranger earlier today and it was more entertaining than anything I've seen in months, and for being what is considered "trashy 90s action-drama" it certainly beats the Hell out of ANYTHING put on TV these days.
I like how the show's writers were almost obligated to put in one round-house kick per episode

hey know what sucks is this 'eagleheart' show I just watched for the first time. god I thought ben stiller couldn't suck more than he did in mystery men but somehow he found a way
yeah but adult swim needed to come up with some sort of original content or it was going to become just another TBS
they have original content, superjail and aqua teen are brilliant but it's like they agreed that any live action show has to suck, I mean just look at tim and eric for god's sake it's possibly the worst show ever broadcast
i don't know why they decided to start trying live action shows,
it might be because 15 minute long live-action episodes can be pumped out in the span of a single day instead of having to wait for 3 months to finish the animation process
it also might have been to appeal to a college-age demographic that thought of cartoons as childish
I don't care if they're live action I care if they're funny. so far tonight I watched that first one I was bitching about then children's hospital now some show about a guy in a ski mask and none of them have been remotely funny

I think a lot of adult swim original content prioritizes surrealism first and humor is secondary
this doesn't work if the show's creators are incompetent and unintelligent, like tim and eric
I think 'try-hard' is the best way to describe it, same problem with the new south parks actually
They are hit and miss too,
i find a few clips that are funny but its not worth sifting through the garbage
