you think 2 months of that is less torturous to a child than 2 months of being in what's basically a daycare? the parents are making the extremely poor decision to put their kid through all of that, not anyone else. we don't give them a pass once they hit the border just because they have a kid. if someone comes here with an actual asylum case, let's hear it. practically every person coming here with a child in tow is coming because obama said if you have a kid, come on in. domestic violence isnt a fucking asylum qualifier. if you got hit in honduras, you're going to get hit here. you are not an albino from zaire who will possibly be murdered there, and then won't be murdered here. you are not a queer from russia who will get beaten there, and probably won't get beaten here.

why in the world should we be accepting immigrants who are dumb enough to put their children in a position where they have a 60% chance of being raped, beaten, or murdered? we dont want morons like that, let them walk back home
if we prosecuted the employers, threw them in jail, shut down their operations, there would be no one to hire illegals and they'd stop sneaking in, problem solved no wall necessary just enforcement of existing law. History has shown the illegals don't shed a tear over deportation, it's an inconvenience but they just pay another coyote to bring them right back in. I'll bet some rich agriculture mogul would feel the pain if you shut down his business and sent him to prison, though. probably wouldn't take more than a couple of high profile cases to shut the whole thing down.
