i can't think of a single time in history that banning something reduced crime related to said contraband

picture yourself an adult, with children of your own, and they're away at school every weekday

your child's life is in the hands of the teachers and other staff of that school, again, every weekday

you trust them with food, even though allergies and choking hazards can kill in minutes
