If a person goes to a doctor already knowing what medication they would like to be prescribed, they are very rarely satisfied when they leave the doctor unless they got the hot new medication they wanted. It's like a placebo effect. Even if something is clinically more likely to give you results, your mind's own psychosomatic influence will make you believe your still "sick" unless you got what you "think" is going to make you feel better.
