I'm also simultaneously going through alcohol withdrawals (after 3 months of drinking every day, all day), lingering opiate withdrawals, and coming off an amphetamine binge
Coffee was just a cheaper and healthier alternative to quench my desire of "being on something". I'd drink coffee to the point of getting shaky, and at that point I wouldn't want to be on any drugs so my strategy worked.

Supposedly tea has more caffeine than coffee so it defends on if you believe all the hype about caffeine

I was drinking two 24 oz cups of coffee for a few days this past week, but I noticed on days I didn't have any coffee I felt like shit and had massive headaches, so I'm tapering off of the caffeine with excedrin

yeah I get the headaches but not often because I'm pretty much always drinking coffee
