i played them all right the way through & to say diamond is better than platinum just means you haven't played platinum (spoiler: it's the same game but a more polished version - like yellow, crystal & emerald)

i have them all and two ds lites. the only thing diamond has over the others is the pokeradar and the giratina dream world thingy. black and white are best dont be delusional. they are making b/w 2 this year i think.

i have plenty of "legit" shinies (random encounters & a few events) but FYI the PRNG ones are legit you don't alter the game code in any way you just adjust the time you start your game - it's cheating but not hacking

current training a shiny team for the battle tower (kingdra / electivire / snorlax / skarmory) all EV trained just grinding up the levels with the elite 4 now

since u hacked them in why train them legit why not just make them lvl 100
