ugh
the only thing I dont like about the Pontiac GTO is the styling, it just looks kind of bland and they made it worse in the 05/06 models when they added the fake scoops in the hood to try to make it look more like a muscle car
I'd prefer an actual Holden Monaro because the Pontiac GTO styling makes it look like any other Pontiac. I guess that in itself is kind of cool though, you can pull up to a light and people will look at your car and won't have a clue that it's packing 400 horsepower

Sleepers are fucking great. The stock monaro was a sleeper pretty much. Doesn't look fast, but went like a bat out of hell. The Volkswagen Golf VR6 with a six cylinder is the same, as is those overpriced Audi RS6 wagons. Ive often considered a golf, but they are way too common round here these days. Hence why I like the lotus. Not too many around.

The hoods are the same, the 04 GTO had a regular hood but then for the 05 year they added scoops because people were expecting something that looked like the old Pontiac GTO, which it did not look like at all. For some reason they also added these scoops to the Holden Monaro in Australia, and apparently the Australians hated it while the Americans liked it (different expectations from the car, they shouldn't have named it the GTO over here) but not enough to keep the car afloat and they stopped selling it in the US in 2006.
fenders look pretty similar if not the same as well, it's basically just the grill and the badge that are different, I just like the Monaro better, especially that dark mustard yellow color
I like how the grill is sunken in on the Monaro, it gives the front end a little depth. I also like the fog lamps better than the GTO's circular ones.Last edited by Camoron; 06-01-2012 at 11:41 PM.
