the monaro vxr is a whole hell of a lot better than the gto, american cars generally have as many cheap replacements in them as possible for marketing reasons

like i bet the suspension is entirely downrated and all the interior is plastic

but otherwise yes it is literally the exact same car

dont waste your time with the 250 spend an extra couple hundred dollars (if youre buying used) and buy a bigger bike youre going to want one in about a month anyways after owning that japanese turd

i've been riding a bike longer than you've been fucking fat birds and a ninja 250 will be just fine. this stupid american obsession with 'bigger is better' in the bike world is so fucking stupid. They all think that 1000cc is standard to commute and get around on. jon will be fine with a ninja 250. He'll be able to push out enough top speed, it's japanese so it's reliable as all fuck (unlike Harley's which are shit) and will be fine in splitting traffic.

Even on a track, a good rider on a 250 will be able to absolutely cream some punk on a 650.

the interiors are identical aside from the obvious right/left-hand drive difference, a Pontiac logo and "GTO" stitching on the leather seats
only changes they made other than that and the restyled front end is that they added some bracings to the body exterior to meet American crash safety standards and revised the exhaust to make it sound more like a classic GTO

they were also exporting this car to Europe as the Vauxhall Monaro and to the Middle East as, oddly, the Chevy Lumina SS, so I don't think they spent a lot of time/money on changing shit for foreign markets.

I've been in a GTO and thought it looked pretty standard for what you pay for. The Monaro looks identical from every picture I've seen. Only thing I didn't care for was the rough leather on the seats. I am more a fan of soft, smooth leather which my Camry Solara has.

its a quick ride but none of it is highway miles. maybe six lights

still, the 250 will do 0-60 faster than my saab, so i'm sure i'll be content for at least a year

Nope, a fair bit older than 21, but that's flattering! And I have a fair idea of what it's like in America (I did live there for 18 months). I know plenty about you from all your facebook shit, m0nde's pm's to me and other shit you do. So utterly boring. As for FJS secret forum: as much as it sounds cool to be included in stevey's fat fold club of which only him, you, and some other no-namer posts there, I think I'll pass.
