The rep system is just an extra bit of fun, another activity to partake in when we're foruming. Most people don't notice it much. It usually ends up being a pretty accurate representation of who's popular, though. Posters +rep people they like, and neg rep people they don't.

But then there's people like you, who care about it way too much, people who are consumed with this imaginary number and make threads about it and discuss it at length. Acting like you actually prefer neg rep, because you know you're not going to get any positive and it kills you. Even if you legitimately want red rep, that's still a whole lot of caring about the rep system, and that's 6 different kinds of pathetic. It's hypocritical, too. You can't say "rep is gay" and then one sentence later turn around and say "I want red rep". Either you care or you don't, and you clearly care, you care a lot.
