I'll tell you what the problem with heroin and other heavy opiates is

drugs can be placed on a spectrum from cocaine at the top because it stimulates and heroin/morphine down the bottom as a heavy sedative

the problem nurses and doctors have with heroin junkies is that let's say you get mangled up in a car crash right? You go into hospital and need emergency surgery... the first problem they have is they need to give a stupid amount of drugs just to keep you under, an ammount that is dangerous... not only that but if god help you if you ever suffer any great physical pain and need something as heavy as morphine to kill the pain... it is simply not going to be very effective for you if you are a heroin junky
