if i remember i was pointing out that:
- no video to monitor
- fans on case still work
- optical mouse on, but unresponsive to movement
- keyboard capslock/numlock/scroll-lock unresponsive, none of the lights on keyboard turn on

wrong CPU settings its still going to post bios
9 out of 10 times its youre power supply; your motherboard usually doesn't just break in such a way to fit all the aforementioned criteria without some other telltale signs
