I'm saying the semantics of the CLI itself could be different if they were designed differently.
Everything in DOS is incredibly basic; why bother learning it unless I'm using it for something. As an example, I had to set up a static IP to host games, I figured out how to do that with written instructions.you're a typical home user who knows how to do incredibly basic things. there's nothing wrong with that, but it does mean you should keep your fucking mouth shut when it comes to technical stuff and you have no place criticizing people who only know slightly less than you do.
Also, I am not criticizing those people beneath me, rather I am defending them; I want it to be as easy as possible for those people to be able to learn about computers so they do become smarter about computers - that can't happen if there's some leech stacking the cards against them.

I agree, as a basic home user who doesn't know shit there's no reason for you to ever touch the command line. You're in here posing as a power user, denouncing anyone who isn't as computer literate as you, anyone with that attitude should at least know how to use the fucking shell.
You've been using Windows for at least 7 years and you still have no fucking idea what you're doing, why do you hold everyone else to a higher standard than yourself?

There's no reason for me to ever touch the command line? Lol, it's saved me from countless viruses, I use it to be able to host games, blah blah blah.
I think the real reason you're so defensive is because you don't like feeling like your trade isn't special or unique.
