Except for the fact that there are intersex people that are born XY Female and XX male and a host of abnormal karyotypes some of which are capable of reproducing as the sex they are born as even if it is contrary to their karyotype. Genetically modifying evasive fish species as YY females helps control their population as they are only capable of laying eggs that will produce male offspring. Since they lack any X chromosomes, their offspring is guaranteed to have at least one Y chromosome. A YY male let alone a YY female is insufficiently genetically viable in humans for survival and always ends in miscarriage.
