tool is a perfectly successful band and their first two albums were pretty good (though they went mediocre after that) but stop trying to pretend they've redefined music when there's no evidence to support it

This isn't about what I like, it's about what musicians (including maynard) consistently list as their inspirations. nobody ever mentions tool, because tool's only innovation was asking "what would happen if we took glen danzig, cut his vocal range in half, and made him the lead singer of type o negative?"

Tool wenta bout their music the same way zep and floyd did they went on psychedelic induced expeditions to expand their horizons. You cant even say they were influenced by thoseb ands you named, some of the scales and musical styles tool employs havent been heard aloud since the dark ages and some of it coming straight out of thw darkest corner in the human collective subconscious

maynard kises the melvins' asses every single chance he gets. zepplin "went bout their music" by ripping off 40's and 50's blues songs without crediting the original artists, almost every single one of their hits is plagiarized and if you knew a damned thing about music I wouldn't have to explain that because it's common knowledge.

Maynard is kissing assf or the sake ofk issing ass; zeppelin plagiarized like less than 10 songs not to mention the concept of "owning" a song was still relatively new att he time

Why dont you give away your trade secrets? ;) give them away for free, this isnt capitalism any more buddy so you might as well
They were never "your" secrets to begin with

The only enemy is going to be a beauracracy that managed to permanenrly secure its position of power forever because we weretoo egotistical to share everything we know with each other before all information got put onl lockdown
