do you know what I'm really doing half the time? I'm piecing together how much everyone else knows about these things to figure out how much knowledge is already common, and the other half of the time I'm trying to lure someone in who knows more than I do so they can help me improve my knowledge of these topics by pointing out where I'm wrong.
