its common sense elz, when you have a projectile enter a case of bullets that forms the tips the only casings you will affect are the ones you hit directly, this will drive the tips backwards into the casings and create the required PSI to detonate the primers. any other explosions are caused by the brass deforming due to a lack of a barrel and exponential damage
