    barry whty are you wasting your time troubleshooting this when you should be shopping for a new cpu (amd if you want to save money, intel if you want it to benchmark well), a new motherboard, and some 3000Mhz ram

    i got ddr3 1833 mhz i think, or 1866mhz... is that actually slow now? was fast as fuck 4 years ago

    you can actually get up to 3100. It's bit pricey, but you can do better than 1866 on a budget, and ram speed is going to make a much bigger difference than cpu speed

    If I was building a gaming rig tomorrow I'd probably go with 2800 it costs half as much as 3000
