He was speaking on a different question, but I think it still applies. My husband and I both have (not very severe) passable genetic disorders, so I know a bit of where you're coming from, but I feel the Bible is explicit in that married couples should (eventually) have children. Adoption is a wonderful option for people like us, though.
Also, science can easily take sperm/egg and mix until they know one will be healthy. I feel like that's ethical, but I've never talked to an elder/pastor/etc. about it so you might want to look in to that also.
And no matter what's chosen, this is an issue that isn't central to the gospel that we all agree on. It's certainly important to be informed and make a knowledgeable decision, but you probably won't go to hell over not having kids in your marriage.
