if buying foreclosures was a huge profitable business the banks would literally do it and sell the homes at big scale/vs. always auctioning off them for shit. the title issues are what is fucked up big time. clay, i think is from texas or some bumfuck state so maybe there's no redemption for unpaid loans, but i know their definately is in CA and a lot of other state.s

what kind of a fucking foreclosure is it then when someone agrees to let their bank sell the fucking house then?? i guess you are correct. in my mind a foreclosure is - the borrower won't leave and the bank will move a court to get them out/foreclose on their house. not - a borrower voluntarily leaves and lets the bank sell their house.

used to live by detroit metro. those cheap houses are most likely abandoned for years and are unlivable inside. if you can get tenants (which i doubt) it would be all sec. 8 bullshit and there's a ton of hosuing avail in detroit. used to have 2.5 million people in city limits no has like 700k

i would also like to point out that in your scenario, which is incorrect anyway, a person who got their home foreclosed because they couldn't afford the monthly payments somehow is able to come up with the entire mortgage amount plus interest. very likely
