I was raised a Methodist christian. Went to Sunday school, baptized (twice?), was an acolyte, was in YOUTH group. I lost my faith because all the Christians around me looked down on me and i never felt the holy spirit.
now it feels like i have no where to turn to. God may or may not be on the throne, but i need hands around me. Does anyone else have experience becoming a christian for a second time?

11-13-2016I had a friend who became a born again christian and he used to pick me up to take me to church with him, he's the only person I would go to church with.

I'll try and ignore them.
My friend started going crazy because of drugs when we were young, he got diagnosed with a mental illness, he prayed to Jesus to take away his addictions and mental illness and the next day he threw out all his drugs and never touched any again so he felt really grateful to Jesus believing it was Jesus who saved him. He no longer suffered from mental illness either. First he studied to be a minister and did that, then he became a prison guard and then he started studying law and became a lawyer. So he did really well. When I had my first fiancé who was violent a lot of my friends stopped seeing me because they were upset I was getting bashed but he stuck by me through all of that and every Sunday night he would come and pick me up and take me to church with him. I used to make him giggle during the sermon. But I was really grateful to him for doing that, sticking by me and doing something nice with me every week when no-one else wanted to know what was happening to me anymore. He never fought with me to leave the bag of shit I was with (I was stupid for not leaving him straight away, that is what made my other friends upset and angry with me that I didn't leave that pig when he bashed me) he was just there for me and it actually meant the world to me at the time.
