I put a 1tb solid state drive in my macbook pro, and now threadlong which used to take like a second to run (because it loops through and writes to a temp file) is now instantaneous, just in time for plug drugs to make a bunch of shitty threads about stupid crap

can you link to the specific hd you bought. for some reason when i got my mbp i thought that it would be a good idea to get 16gb of RAM and the best processor, but 128GBs of storage.

after you get it installed execute "sudo trimforce" from the terminal apple disables trim by default on 3rd party ssd's
