as my fourth post, did anyone ever watch the british scifi sitcom Red Dwarf? the first two seasons are shit but after that it gets a lot better. it not super funny but it's enertaining enough and the scifi stuff is all right

i thought the way it worked was if you own a tv in the UK you have to buy a license or something and it costs like 150 pounds a year??? which is more than the cost of an entire year's subscription to HBO and it has a lot more "subscribers" since it's basically mandatory, so if HBO can prouce Game of Thrones (albeit with only 10 episdoes per year) wtf gives with BBC?

The first 4 were actually a miniseries, season 2 is 60 mins each. Episode 4 is fucking brutal, death on a level never before seen in any fiction I'm aware of and at the end of season 2 they make that look like a drop in the bucket

there's like 12 BBC's and they all produce their own content, the majority of hbo's programming is feature films

Battlestar Galactica was awesome. It was actually a refreshing change from sterile, moralizing Star Trek.

I haven't seen the original nor do I really want to. It wasn't really anything like the re-imagining and it's also a mormon Star Wars ripoff.

It had some really shitty episodes involving Starbuck's love triangle which was totally gay and Odama reminiscing about his dead wife which I passed over. Guys Baltar is probably the biggest pimp in all of sci-fi.
