funny story about gaius balthar, in the completely unrelated show merlin, there's a character named gaius who is the king's physician, and somewhere in the middle of one of the seasons, the guy who had already played gaius balthar on BSG has a guest role, and they're in some scenes together so gaius is talking to gaius after he's no longer gaius, but both shows have the same twist so it's actually also happening before gaius was ever gaius
