The misfortune of others is simply viewed as some moral deficit which caused them to bring misfortune upon themselves - and perhaps this is an evolutionary mechanism

and as we continue through the 21st century and witness the transition from traditional conservatism into liberalism; what we are actually witnessing is the death of the parent archetype and its evolutionary accountability for the success of offspring; the success of offspring and their genetic materia is no longer in the hand's of parent figures but left in the hands of the state
