Plot: Set in the most depressing corner of a postapocalyptic future, our heroine Kantmiss Evershot (Maiara Walsh) volunteers to take her manipulative younger sisterΓÇÖs place in the seventy-fifth annual ΓÇ£Starving Games.ΓÇ¥ In doing so, she must leave behind her smoldering just-a-friend Dale (Brant Daugherty) and team up with the geeky bakerΓÇÖs son Peter Malarkey (Cody Allen Christian) in a fight for her life. But wait, thereΓÇÖs more! She could also win an old ham, a coupon for a foot-long sub at a six-inch price, and a partially eaten pickle! In The Starving Games, Friedberg and SeltzerΓÇÖs sixth cinematic spoof of box-office hits, the prolific parody duo has its sights trained on the adventure blockbuster The Hunger Games! ItΓÇÖs all the laughs and half the calories as they sling dozens of cock-eyed, barbed arrows at sci-fi, action and fantasy films from The Avengers and Oz the Great and Powerful to pop culture characters and celebrities like Harry Potter and Taylor Swift.

those subway coupons for a footlong at six inch price dont really save you any money, because you have to buy a soda with the coupon,
so youre only saving like 40 cents; soda costs the store next to nothing, so its really just a clever way to get people in the door

they buy the ingredients in bulk and save money by not having to cook anything in the store; they just throw together a sandwich and charge you 7 bucks for it
pretty clever business model imo

its not healthy food either.. if youre getting the white bread, thats just empty calories - and theres more of it too than say, a bun from mcdonalds.. Not to mention you have to load your sub up with sauce or mayo because there's so much damn bread
realistically, a footlong sub is going to have more calories than a burger from mcdonalds

Moonmanking steveyos11-11-2013SUBWAY 9-GRAIN WHEAT (6")210 calories2 g fat (0.5 g saturated)410 mg sodiumOkay, so you're probably not in the habit of ordering a la carte bread loaves at Subway, but there’s a good chance you've eaten at least a few sandwiches built on this bread. The good news is that Subway actually delivers on the nine-grain promise. The bad news: Eight of those nine grains appear in miniscule amounts. If you look at a Subway ingredient statement, you'll find every grain except wheat listed at the bottom of the list, just beneath the qualifier "contains 2% or less." In fact, the primary ingredient in this bread is plain old white flour, and high-fructose corn syrup plays a more prominent role than any single whole grain. Essentially this is a white-wheat hybrid with trace amounts of other whole grains like oats, barley, and rye. So outside of the nine grains, how many ingredients does Subway use to keep this bread together? Sixteen, including such far-from-simple ingredients as DATEM, sodium steroyl lactylate, calcium sulfate, and azodiacarbonamide. But here's one that's a little unnerving: ammonium sulfate. This compound is loaded with nitrogen, which is why it's most common use is as fertilizer. You might have used it to nourish your plants at home. And Subway does the same thing; the ammonium sulfate nourishes the yeast and helps the bread turn brown. What, did you think that dark hue was the result of whole grains? Hardly. It's a combination of the ammonium sulfate and the caramel coloring.
