by all accounts China is a great place to teach... the students are really respectful and just do their work, teachers I've spoken to who have taught over there say it's like a dream, it's not like walking into a class room in australia or the U.S where they are all bouncing off the walls, you walk in, they are quiet and seated and you just deliver the unit. They wouldn't dream of causing trouble in class or disrespecting the teacher.

I haven't taught there myself but that's what I'm told by teachers who have.

I thought about doing that after my first degree because all you need is a degree to go teach English in China, the degree can be in anything, you can do a maths degree and go teach english in China. I decided instead to get another degree to qualify me to teach in this country and in any country. A lot of the teachers doing the post grad teaching degree had already gone and taught in China. Not a bad idea, getting the experience before committing to another degree.

Then I taught for 4 years and now I'm mentally disabled.

id teach in japan china is like the mexico of asia, i thouht about it too you get paid really well
